Labels
RFID tags and barcode labels are a very important part of RFID/barcode technology implementation in Your companies processes. If there is no marking on tracked assets, the marking information is incorect or labels are hard to read, the whole system will work incorrectly if work at all. Often this means that companies have to print their labels themselves, no matter if these companies specialize in manufacturing, logistics or public sectore.

RFID labels and tags
RFID labels can be divided into two groups - common label (inventory or packaging) and special tags (hard tags).
The appearance of common labels is reminiscent of simple labels - they are flexible and barcode printers can print the desired visual information on them and store the RFID memory together. The difference from simple labels is that there is one more under the top paper or plastic layer - it has an antenna and a microchip that manages RFID label communication and data storage.
If there is no need to print visual information on the RFID label, the top layer can be dispensed with, then the necessary information will be recorded on the label with the help of the printer or scanner. Such RFID labels are a bit cheaper, but if used in large quantities, it can save you money..
Opportunities
The appearance and environmental resistance of RFID tags for special needs greatly depend on the purpose for which it is used. Below you will find some brief descriptions of such things. It should be appreciated that only RFID readers can be used to record information to RFID tags, and printers are not suitable for this.
It is worth noting that RFID tag reading parameters are highly dependent on its size, antenna configuration, and chip type. Therefore, if you are going to install a project that will use RFID technology - first perform a proof of concept and select the most appropriate labels and configuration for the scanning devices.

RFID labels for packaging and inventory
Paper (polypropylene labels). Various dimensions are available, usually 100mm wide. If a smaller width is required, there are such labels, but it is necessary to test whether the scanning distance is satisfactory.

Inlays without print capability. It is possible to buy wet and non-adhesive (dry). Sell in rolls, usually 3000 or 5000pcs.
Due to technology limitations, conventional labels should not be applied to a metal surface. For this purpose, special labels are provided on which to print the necessary information. It should be considered that such labels are thicker than normal (eg the thickness of the label on the Confidex Silverline Slim shown in the drawing is 1.1mm, so please note this when purchasing a printing device. It is sold in rolls of 800 or 1000 labels on a roll.
RFID tags
On-metal:
In case the metal object has to be marked with the RFID tag, it is necessary to choose the plastic case. Various dimensions and mounting options are available. It is necessary to test the most suitable option.
High temperature:
If the object has to stay at a high temperature for a certain period of time, the ceramic body is used. For example, the mark on the picture can withstand temperatures up to 235 degrees Celsius. Various dimensions and mounting methods are available.
For reusable packaging:
Plastic containers must withstand various physical effects - throwing, vibration, washing with water and chemicals - the RFID tag must be applied.
For seals:
An RFID tag can not only serve as an information carrier, but can also be used as seals. For example, the tag you see in the image can be scanned up to 3m after attachment.
For laundries:
Special RFID tags for identifying clothing or other laundry items. When choosing, pay attention to temperature and ironing resistance and the number of washing cycles.
For transport marking:
Vehicles come in a variety of situations and work in a variety of environments - the RFID tag has to withstand this. There are different dimensions, mounting options - you need to test for the most suitable for you.
Car windscreen:
RFID tags are affixed to the windscreen for passage control. They must be resistant to a variety of environments - just like a car.
Medicine:
Medical facilities have extensive use of RFID tags - from special patient bracelets to surgical tools. Accordingly, they are subject to high requirements - to withstand the temperature of autoclaves in order to be patient, to comply with hygiene norms, etc.
Other:

Labels and their preparation
Any use of RFID or barcode technology is impossible without labels or RFID tags. It is possible to buy them pre-printed, but this is inconvenient and may render the whole system useless. We offer our customers the possibility to print and/or record the labels themselves.
